Junior Software Engineer – Full Stack Development

Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software applications and functions within Honeywell Aerospace. You will be an active and integral member of a dedicated team which develops next generation avionic systems, sets standards for new platforms (e.g. UAM, air taxi with vertical lift off) and pushes the Aerospace technology industry to the next level. You will also generate innovative solutions, try different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities, and you will work closely with demanding customers such as Boeing, Airbus, British Aerospace Engineering, European Space Agency and many others. Results of your work will have direct impact on Aerospace of the future.

What you will be doing?

As an engineer, you will be working on Aircraft maintenance related tools that prepare configuration for Onboard Maintenance System and expert system tools that support airborne data diagnoses.

You will work closely with System engineers and V&V engineers, including collaboration with engineering in global locations.

You will leverage modern technologies (Java, JavaScript, SQL), frameworks (Spring, React) and tools (Atlassian toolset), to shape the future of the air transportation.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

Key Responsibilities

• SW Development ranging from backend to frontend (full stack).
• Integration with other tools and systems of the platform.
• Gathering requirements for assigned tasks.
• Creating unit tests, verification and validation against requirements.
• Participation in project meetings and presentations.

Key requirements

• Education in Software Engineering. (Suitable also for graduates)
• Knowledge in at least 2 areas: Java, JavaScript (React), SQL.
• Good command of English language.
• Get your hands dirty attitude: you are not afraid to pick tasks with ambiguous definition, start using new technology/development tools and turn them into quick deliveries.
  Eagerness to learn and proactive approach.
