This Demand Planning position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, statistical models and other sources.
The Demand Planner is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization. This position leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in sales and marketing.
JOB DUTIES:
- Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
- Analyze error results and statistics to adapt future forecasts.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
- Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Factory Planners, Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
- Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
- Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
- Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
- Support Integrated Business Planning process
- Collaborate with product management teams to support new product launch readiness
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 2+ years of experience in planning, data analytics, marketing, or supply chain management
- Experience in statistics/ forecasting tools
- English communication skills, both written and oral
WE VALUE:
- Experience in the use of ERP systems, SAP and APO or other advanced demand planning software
- Proven high level of analytic skill, business acumen, and marketing insight.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point).
- Excellent relationship building skills; ability to build credibility with all levels of an organization quickly and effectively
