How you'll make a difference?
The Senior Global Demand Planner focuses on upstream demand planning activities, partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure alignment between the demand plan and budget. This role acts as a champion for assigned franchise, facilitates monthly demand review meetings, highlights risks and opportunities, and drives the consensus process that supports financial reconciliation. This role requires strong analytical and modeling expertise to manage forecasts across multiple regions and customer segments, while also serving as a key liaison between commercial teams and supply chain.
What will your duties and responsibilities be?
The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties as tasks as needed and assigned.
Champion cross-functional alignment: Act as the primary liaison for all Supply Chain correspondence with Sales and Marketing, ensuring clarity and alignment on demand-related topics.
Safety stock management: Review and suggest appropriate safety stock levels monthly for all required parts to ensure product availability and service levels.
Forecasting & analysis: Build and analyze a statistical 24-month global sales forecast by SKU, region, and/or customer. Develop non-sales forecasts to support recurring implant and instrument demand, field loss, yield factors, expiration impacts, and other business drivers.
Demand review & consensus planning: Facilitate Monthly Demand Review meetings, recommending a consensus forecast to Marketing and Finance based on opportunities, vulnerabilities, product lifecycle changes, market demand shifts, cannibalization risks, and promotional activities.
New product forecasting: Develop launch forecasts and identify significant gaps versus budget. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance for new product forecasts.
Performance measurement: Monitor demand and forecast accuracy using key metrics (e.g., Forecast Error, Bias, MAPE, MAD) and implement corrective actions to reduce bias and improve reliability.
Continuous improvement: Drive enhancements to volume forecasting processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and business impact.
What skills and experience will you need?

Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and/or Abilities:
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or related Supply Chain Planning roles.
Cross-functional collaboration: Proven success partnering with Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Distribution teams to align on demand drivers and business priorities.
Project management: Experience leading or contributing to projects, with the ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables effectively.
Modeling & analytics: Advanced experience with demand planning methodologies and statistical modeling, including time-series analysis, seasonality, trend identification, and causal factor integration to improve forecast accuracy
Technical skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis tools) and Word. Familiarity with ERP systems, e.g., Oracle is highly desirable.
Analytical capability: Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets, develop insights, and translate them into business actions.
Communication excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise business reports and correspondence and present findings and/or recommendations effectively to peers, leadership, and customers.
Critical thinking: Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to assess issues from multiple perspectives, identify root causes, and propose structured solutions.
Adaptability: Thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities, balancing both detail orientation and big-picture thinking

Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of study
Additional Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and/or Abilities:
8+ years of related demand planning experience
Oracle R12 ERP experience and demand planning software experience
Experience in the medical device industry

The anticipated salary for this position for an employee who is located in California is $118,000 to $134,000 per year, plus bonus, and benefits.
