Lead Attorney

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic HTS Legal Counsel, EMEA based in Brno to support our innovation initiatives and ensure compliance across HTS sites in the EMEA region. This pivotal role will support in-house start-up projects, drive intellectual property (IP) strategies on sites, establish ecosystem partnerships, and oversee compliance with global regulations. The incumbent will work collaboratively with leadership, functional teams, and legal partners to foster a culture of innovation and ethical conduct throughout the organization.

• Provide comprehensive counselling on innovation and in-house start-up projects across all stages, from ideation through to execution.
• Develop and implement frameworks for evaluating, prioritizing, and managing innovation initiatives
• Prepare and drive IP plans for HTS sites in Brno, Prague and Krakow, achieving targets like increase in new ideas submission and patent grants.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to foster a culture of capturing intellectual property and drive awareness campaigns.
• Onboard and maintain partnerships with universities and other external educational & innovation institution, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
• Support a partner management system to track collaboration activities, performance metrics, and mutual growth opportunities.
• Operate as a local business/legal partner to functional and business leaders; actively participate in the EMEA HTS leadership team.
• Lead site-related projects and be a key member of local workstreams while aligning business objectives with site capabilities.
• HTS procurement and campus-related matters support.
• Drive the implementation and enforcement of global compliance directives, ethical conduct rules, and corporate governance policies.

• Promote a culture of ethics and compliance throughout the organization.

• Law degree from an accredited law school

• 5+ years of experience practicing law
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent knowledge of English language, including knowledge of legal and business
