Job Description

The Position

The Senior MuleSoft Engineer will be specializing in using MuleSoft's integration platform to design, develop, and manage APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and integrations between various internal systems, applications and SaaS platforms. This role is pivotal in establishing a standardized, self-service integration and orchestration layer that simplifies how data and analytics solutions communities can programmatically interface with data management and governance services.

What will you do?

• Drive the technical delivery of integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, ensuring adherence to our integration platform coding standards, best practices, and overall integration quality.
• Translate high-level business requirements and designs into detailed technical specifications and specific development tasks.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle of integrations, from design and development to testing, and deployment.
• Be accountable for the complete delivery of integrations, including providing technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to integrations, ensuring efficient and timely solutions.
• Provide accurate estimates for development tasks and contribute to the planning of delivery timelines.
• Work closely with cross functional teams (business product managers, technical product manager, analysts, architects, other developers, etc.) to understand integration requirements and ensure alignment with overall project goals.
• Continuously learn and stay informed about the latest MuleSoft features, tools, integration trends, and best practices.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years MuleSoft experience in design and development role on multiple complex deployments
• Good experience with Anypoint Platform, API Design, Dataweave, CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, and API Management
• Experienced with design patterns used with MuleSoft integrations
• Experience integrating with Cloud/SaaS applications
• Designing, building, and implementing APIs and microservices (REST, HTTP, OAS 3.x, OAuth 2.0, etc.)
• Strong engineering and problem-solving mindset
• Experience with low-code/no-code integrations
• Skilled in designing solutions that address complex integration challenges while considering scalability, security, performance, and maintainability
• Working in Agile Environment
• Programming experience, understanding the code (Java, Spring Boot, )

Nice to haves

• Knowledge of the Kong API Platform
• Well-versed in different integration patterns and technologies, such as ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), microservices, RESTful APIs, messaging and event-driven architectures
• Understanding security protocols, authentication methods, and data privacy regulations to ensure secure data exchange and compliance
• Experience with AWS Cloud
• Utilizing MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform and the capabilities of Java-based microservices built with Java, Spring Boot
