Who we are and what we do  
The Cyber Testing Center (CTC) is an international team of security professionals and ethical hackers who thrive on discovering how things work - and how they can be made safer. Every day we put web, mobile applications and infrastructure under the microscope, while also delivering hands-on training and workshops for our internal customers.  

As cyber-threats evolve, so do we. To keep NN's digital landscape secure, we're now opening the door to motivated university students who want to get real-world security experience, learn from senior pentesters. 

In this role you'll hunt for vulnerabilities, champion secure-by-design practices across all NN countries, establish testing standards, share cutting-edge tools, and teach development teams how to build resilient applications. Hop on, grow with us, and help safeguard the digital world for millions of NN users.  

What you'll do (you'll start small and grow) 

  • ​Execute penetration testing of web applications (in beginning with support of your mentor) 
  • Validate reports from responsible disclosure program 
  • ​Update checklists, templates, and internal wikis so the whole team benefits from what you learn. 
  • Share with developers and other colleagues what you have discovered or learned

Why this role fits a student 

  • ​Approx. 20 hrs per week; we'll flex your school schedule, exams, and holidays
  • ​Hybrid setup - work from home most days, pop into the Prague office when you (or we) need hands-on help
  • Once you finish your studies, we try to move our part-timers to a full-timer and keep them as a part of team 

What we're looking for (keep it simple) 

  • ​Active university student in Cyber Security, or a related field. 
  • ​understanding of the web applications stack  
  • Understanding of networks and experience in programming 
  • ​Curious mind that enjoys taking things apart to see how they break. 
  • ​Comfortable speaking and reading technical docs in English  
  • ​Reliability: deliver the hours you promise and ask for help when stuck

Nice-to-have  

  • ​Any past experience with CTFs, bug bounties, or security labs at school.
