We are looking for anexperienced researcher for the Department of Functional Materials Department of Functional Materials | FZU. We are seeking a person experienced in material's research related to thermomechanical behavior, functional properties, microstructure-property relationship or similar. What will you do
- Apply for research projects involving research group members
- Organize the work on research projects
- Publish results of research projects
- Keep up to date and further develop the research group experimental equipment and methods with the help of research group members.
Who we look for
- Ph.D. in Physics (Material Science or Mechanics of Materials)
- Principal investigator of at least two national or international research projects
- Strong publishing record from previous research work
- Communicative team player, problem solving ability, working independently
- Sound verbal and written communication skills in English, Creativity and analytical thinking, open-minded person
Why FZU?
- We offer well equipped labs for materials science run by the research group or other research units. The research group members operate labs for thermomechanical and thermophysical materials characterization, including DSC, DMA, dilatometer, deformation quenching dilatometer, Instron deformation machines with digital image correlation and IR thermography, digital optical microscopy. Numerical simulation software Comsol and MSC Marc is available in the group.
