Senior Technical Project Manager

The Red Hat Product Security team is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join us in Brno Office. In this role, you will use your extensive expertise in project management to define requirements and business drivers for a variety of security-focused initiatives and programs. You'll be a part of a team responsible for building internal tools to automate and support our incidence response process. You'll be essential to the success of our Product Security Incidence Response function through strategic program management. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, facilitating complex collaboration and fostering strategic relationships between multiple geographically distributed teams.

Our major location for hiring is Brno Office, Czech republic, onsite role.

What you will do

• Direct complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Define, create and execute project plans for project, portfolio, and product prioritization and implementation 
• Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value
• Proactively manage changes in project scope.
• Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project life-cycles
• Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects
• Create risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess and resolve project risks
• Prepare project status reports and present project performance updates to relevant business stakeholders
• Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
• Act as a PO for smaller projects

What you will bring

• 7+ years of managing projects that incorporate multiple teams working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment; ability to bring different groups of people together to collaborate in a community setting
• 5+ years of experience with technical knowledge of software development
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams distributed across the globe
• Strong process orientation, change management, and proficient documentation skills. Always follows documented processes, providing feedback and innovating when needed.
• Familiarity with different project management methodologies, tools, and issue tracking systems
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proven experience with the agile methodology
• Proven Experience with issue-tracking systems (JIRA preferred)

The following are considered a plus:

• Industry certification such as Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Practitioner (CSSLP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar
• Experience with open source software
• Security Specific: General understanding of high-level security threats, and security risk management practices. Preferably an understanding of the industry standard software development lifecycle.
• Security Specific: Conceptually understands the criticality of security specific to open-source components and underlying security risks
