Our teams support clients across multiple industries, helping them build scalable solutions, modernize platforms, and accelerate innovation. We are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an exciting long-term project with a leading financial institution.

About the Project

In this role, you will support a large financial institution in building and optimizing big-data workloads on Databricks. This is a hands-on position where you will work independently, drive best practices, and confidently challenge unclear requirements to ensure high-quality deliverables. You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders while contributing to a high-performance data platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines using PySpark and Delta Lake

  • Automate and orchestrate workloads using Jenkins

  • Apply DevOps / MLOps principles and support production optimization, including FinOps

  • Use Databricks Asset Bundles for consistent and standardized deployments

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, clarify requirements, and challenge assumptions when necessary

Requirements / Skills

  • Strong, proven experience working with Databricks (must-have)

  • Senior-level skills with PySpark, Delta, CI/CD, and big-data optimization

  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins and production-grade data engineering workflows

  • Ability to work autonomously and ask the right questions when requirements are unclear

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
