We're looking for a Senior Technical Writer to lead developer experience in our Engagement Docs Team - working from anywhere in Slovakia/Czech Republic with offices available in Bratislava and Brno. We offer a competitive salary that reflects candidate´s expertise and impact. Compensation starts from EUR 2,000/month, with flexibility based on experience and skills, plus additional benefits.

The Documentation Team is responsible for organizing and maintaining knowledge about our product. This includes documenting various product features and putting together business use cases, enabling our clients to use our platform solutions independently. Used as a centralized source of truth by our clients, partners, prospects, and consultants, our documentation is essential for supporting our scalability and efficiency.

Led by Jan Gercak (Knowledge Manager) and Christian Baerend (VP of Product Insight and Design), you will drive a key strategic initiative in a complex multinational environment across different departments (Product and Engineering, Support, Client Services and Sales). We are paving Bloomreach's way to IPO and you can help us shape this ambitious vision.

As a Senior Technical Writer, your job will be to:
  • Design a smooth developer experience: Understand developer objectives, answer their questions before they arise, and innovate with AI solutions for meaningful outcomes.
  • Manage technical knowledge: Centralize knowledge - including feature and developer guides but also SDK and API documentation.
  • Collaborate with experts: Cooperate with Product and Engineering, Support, Clients Services, and Sales to improve documentation based on strategic priorities and field feedback.
  • Drive communication excellence: implement the highest documentation standards.
  • Lead junior members: Mentor and empower junior Docs team members to support overarching Engagement product and company goals.

You have the following experience and qualities:
  • Drive and ambition: You love to tackle new challenges, the bigger the challenge the bigger the motivation to make it happen and learn something new.
  • Excellent written command of English: Your English is on a native level and you can clearly communicate the most complex ideas.
  • Clear communication and team player spirit: The ability to communicate concisely and convincingly in a way that demonstrates clarity of underlying thought. Prior experience with cross-functional work in a highly collaborative environment is a plus.
  • Technical acumen. You are comfortable testing SDKs, APIs, and integration flows. You are familiar with developer tools such as Github, but also the latest AI innovations such as Replit.
  • Documentation and/or copywriting experience is a plus. You have written feature documentation, user guides, and release notes. You are familiar with documentation tools and processes.
