About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Project Lead to take part in a high-impact project focused on developing and implementing next-generation automated manufacturing systems to modernize production processes, introduce advanced control systems and improve energy efficiency. Your role will directly influence the successful delivery of a solution that will be rolled out internationally, setting new standards for operational performance.

Contract Type: Freelance / Contractor (12–15 months, planned duration - till the end of 2026)

Hybrid Mode: 3 days office + 2 days home office

Location: South of the Czech Republic

Responsibilities Overview

• Lead industrial project delivery (capacity increase, automation, process optimization) from concept through execution.
• Prepare and validate business cases, ensuring alignment with technical, financial, and operational objectives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Manage and inspire cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks and ensuring effective collaboration.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to secure delivery and minimize disruption.
• Monitor and control project progress, ensuring deliverables meet agreed scope, cost, quality, and timeline.
• Oversee change management processes and proactively address deviations.
• Provide transparent communication to stakeholders and senior management through regular progress reports.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
• Drive issue resolution during the project lifecycle, maintaining momentum and project continuity.
• Promote continuous improvement by optimizing processes and embedding best practices.
• Motivate the team to achieve project goals and contribute to international rollout readiness.

Technical Knowledge:

• Technical education (secondary technical school or higher degree)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Excellent command of English is a must; Czech and German language proficiency - an advantage
• Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP or another ERP system preferred
• Solid knowledge in project management including the application of project management tools, and methodologies
• Long-distance travel - up to 10%.
