We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Finance team as a dedicated data partner. In this embedded role, you'll own the finance domain's data operations, building analytical pipelines, improving data quality, and supporting decision-making across the department. You will work closely with a centralized Data Science team (who maintain the company-wide infrastructure), but your day-to-day focus will be driving impact within Finance.

This is a hands-on technical role where your skills in SQL, Python, and data visualization will help elevate how the Finance team accesses, interprets, and uses data.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the go-to data expert within the Finance team, acting as a bridge between Finance and the Central Data Science team.

  • Own the creation, maintenance, and optimization of SQL queries and data pipelines (Postgres, Snowflake, dbt, Jenkins).

  • Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports primarily using Tableau; propose and evaluate alternative tools as needed.

  • Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to define KPIs, validate data needs, and support ad-hoc and strategic analysis.

  • Contribute to better data governance and documentation practices, promoting version control (Git) and reproducibility.

  • Work to improve data reliability, consistency, and usability across the Finance function.

  • Automate recurring data tasks using scripting in Python.

  • Coordinate with the central data team on cross-functional data initiatives and infrastructure improvements.
