Sr. UI Engineer

DNAnexus is seeking JavaScript engineers who:

• fully understand a modern UI stack including React/Redux, JSS, Webpack, and ES7

• Typescript with a focus on modern, compliant browsers (Javascript in older code)
• React/Redux-based stack (including React-query, RTK, Redux-saga)
• JSS for themed, reusable components
• Jest, React Testing Library and Cypress for automation testing
• Prettied and ESLint to increase the comfort of our development
• IndexedDB and web-workers for large data storage & processing
• and SVG for data visualization
• Modular architecture approach and domain-driven design
• Storybook for component library design & discovery
• Github for collaboration and automation
• Webpack to help us bundle it all up

Requirements and Desirable Qualifications:

• 3 years of UI development experience
• Ability to work well with a diverse team and take lead on specific features
• Experience with large-scale modular projects and component libraries
• Good JavaScript ES6 and TypeScript knowledge
• Solid HTML5/CSS3 knowledge
• React is essential; Redux, RTK, React-query, Sagas and React Testing Library are plusses
• Good sense of visual and interaction design; experience in data visualization a plus
• Knowledge of genetics and DNA sequencing not required, but certainly helpful
• Passion for building UI
