About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import and Export Compliance Analyst to join our team in the Czech Republic. In this role, you will ensure the company adheres to all applicable export control laws, regulations, and policies. You will play a key role in supporting global trade compliance activities, mitigating risks related to international shipments, and facilitating smooth export operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support internal and external audits and investigations related to customs export compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, sales, and legal to implement and improve customs export compliance processes.
  • Maintain and update internal compliance policies and procedures in line with changing regulations.
  • Assist in risk assessments and compliance reporting to senior management
  • Managing customs clearance processes for all imports and exports
  • Analyze logistics performance, identify inefficiencies, and drive improvements to service levels and cost-effectiveness
  • Communication with freight forwarders, shippers, consignees, clients, and internal communication within the teams
  • Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL and/or other data management systems)
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written as one will be required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring shipment progress from origin to destination, proactively communicating updates, and resolving any discrepancies or delays with care and professionalism.
  • Support local and regional business on customs and trade issues / opportunities
  • Leading and supporting import/export operations, ensuring adherence to EU and international regulations
  • Conducting self-audits, monitoring KPIs, and reporting on customs & logistics performance and savings.
  • Supporting function to the business for problem solving on import and export procedures in applicable locations in EMEA
  • Ensure customs processes consistency and accuracy with European Customs Law and companies global and regional policies on imports and export in EMEA.
  • Ensures that Customs / Trade Compliance issues and risks are identified and managed efficiently according to the company global policies
  • Drive Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize customs processes and maintain accurate documentation, audit

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in international Trade or Logistics or related field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in customs compliance processes,
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them practically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English, with knowledge of Czech or another EU language an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Knowledge of transportation specific processes and requirements
  • International logistics experience preferred : transportation, customs, supply chain principles, geographical regulations, political nuances of economic zones
  • Export compliance knowledge is a plus

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague/Pardubice, Czech Republic office in compliance with Pure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
