Role Overview:

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our team as the dedicated tester for a new greenfield low-latency RPC service and its accompanying portal. You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing across backend and frontend components. Your work will include test analysis, test execution, API testing, UI testing, and ensuring overall product quality.

As the sole QA in the team, you will collaborate closely with developers, project manager, and infrastructure engineers, taking ownership of the testing process end-to-end. Beyond testing, you'll also support product documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.

What you'll do:  

Plan, design, and execute manual and automated tests for backend APIs and frontend UI.

Perform API testing using Postman (or similar tools) to validate correctness and performance.

Build and maintain automated test suites 

Collaborate with developers during sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives to ensure testability.

Identify, track, and retest defects, ensuring proper communication with the development team.

Conduct regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for each release cycle.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks.

Assist in creating or maintaining basic documentation around features, test cases, or workflows.

Must-have

Experience with manual and automated testing of both frontend and backend systems.

Strong knowledge of test analysis, design, and execution.

Proficiency in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia).

Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).

Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.

Ability to work independently as the primary tester in a small agile team.

Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to clearly document findings.

Good communication skills to collaborate with developers and other stakeholders.

Nice-to-have

Experience with performance/load testing 

Familiarity with Web3/blockchain fundamentals.

Willingness to support with light product documentation or process improvements.
