Responsibilities
  • Create pixel perfect mockups, design new UI or build on existing UI, provide estimates, create and upkeep visual asset libraries 
  • Work and collaborate with UX designers to create full and good-looking user experiences  
  • Work with our Engineering/Design team and collaborate on turning mockups into functional art in the game 
  • Take feedback, direction and work strongly as a production artist 
  • Make quality decisions within a project that improve the direction of art 
  • Work with other artists to achieve project goals 
  • Ship a title with a strong and clear visual direction based on the clients' needs 
  • Continuously enhance knowledge in UI/UX by staying up to date with best practices and current industry trends 
  • Understand what players do, and figure out the best way to visualize the intended design direction 
Qualifications
  • Excellent graphic design skills with basic knowledge in Figma (or software similar to it) 
  • Ability to take direction and iterate on feedback 
  • Ability to demonstrate strong visual language skills through iconography and typography
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present your work to the team and client
  • Ability to estimate and organize your work and tasks 
  • Ability to work as part of a game team 
  • Ability to concept and develop the style and presentation of UI for the project 
  • Strong interest in videogames in general and active interest/experience in playing recent releases

Nice-To-Have Skills 

  • An understanding of motion graphics style animation to enhance the UI experience 
  • An understanding of Figma prototyping 
  • Ability to work with in-engine UI systems or directly implement your own work in UE 
  • Shipped game titles
