We are looking for a motivated Junior Integration Engineer who is eager to gain hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and testing a growing integration landscape. Working under the guidance of the Integration Architect and alongside the Testing Lead, you'll contribute to developing and documenting API connections between internal systems (e.g., CRM, EMR) and third-party tools (labs, partners, reporting systems).

This is an ideal entry-level opportunity combining lightweight development with exposure to real-world system testing, data flows, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and test small-scale integration components, especially REST APIs using tools such as FastAPI, Python, and Microsoft API Management (APIM)

  • Use pre-defined OpenAPI specifications to implement endpoints, define request/response formats, and perform data transformations

  • Support creation and maintenance of Postman collections or other API test packs for regression and smoke testing

  • Assist the Testing Lead with manual test execution, defect retesting, and test documentation

  • Investigate issues within the integration layer and validate data consistency between systems (e.g., CRM EMR Patient App)

  • Write clear and concise technical documentation, including endpoint usage, data mappings, and error handling

  • Participate in daily stand-ups and cross-functional syncs with QA and integration teams

  • Use version control (Git) and assist with deployment tasks under supervision

  • Track and document environment settings across dev, test, and pre-prod environments



Requirements

  • Basic knowledge or academic experience with REST APIs and HTTP methods

  • Familiarity with Python (any experience with FastAPI is a bonus)

  • Exposure to OpenAPI/Swagger documentation

  • Interest in or understanding of API gateways like Microsoft APIM

  • Basic SQL query skills and familiarity with databases

  • Detail-oriented mindset — able to follow test steps and produce clean bug reports

  • Awareness of data privacy principles (e.g., GDPR basics), especially in healthcare contexts

  • Proficient in Postman, VS Code, and platforms like Azure DevOps or Jira

  • Reliable in documenting work, test results, and technical notes

  • Collaborative and responsive to team needs, particularly within QA and development
