Senior DevOps

Objective: To lead the IT infrastructure team, ensuring our cloud services are reliable, available and properly monitored, while keeping costs under control.

• Lead and manage a small DevOps team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure in Azure and Oracle Cloud environments.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (laC) using Terraform to support scalable and secure deployments in multiple environments.
• Enable efficient and easy hosting of containerised applications on our cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and adherence to best practices and internal policies.
• Participate in incident management and root cause analysis for critical system issues.

• Proven experience in a senior-level DevOps role, including team leadership or departmental oversight.
• Hands-on experience with either Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  
  Having both is a strong plus, but not required.
• Strong expertise in Terraform and managing infrastructure as code in production environments.
• Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration practices.
• Advanced Bash scripting skills for automation and system management tasks.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and infrastructure design.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with infrastructure and process certifications, such as ISO, PC.
