Works closely with Marketing, Powertrain & Simulation and Product Lines to identify future boosting technology needs, and then identifies, develops and validates new boosting technology to meet future customer needs. After validating the new technology concepts, works closely with the Platform teams to transition the new technology into our various product offerings.

Key areas of responsibility and roles

  • Conceive, design, analyze and develop cutting edge electric machine concepts.
  • Contribute to the group's projects with key technical analytical skills such electromagnetic design or electric motors design.
  • Learn Garrett engineering & NPI processes.
  • Continuously develop and improve upon an in-depth understanding of electrical machines.
  • Be responsible for the identification, evaluation and development of new motor designs, technology.
  • Plan and lead the program that validates (or invalidates) the feasibility of the project concept, including the design, analysis and optimization, prototype procurement, testing and development of the concept.
  • Develop Intellectual Property capturing these new technologies as unique Garrett Turbo products.
  • Works with other teams and experts on definition of methods, best practices.
  • Work with customers, both external and internal, establish solid roadmaps to transition the project to production engineering.
    Provide ad hoc support in your field of technical expertise to other team members or other peers.

Position requirements

  • Bachelors/Master degree in electrical engineering.
    In depth knowledge of electrical machines, their design, driving techniques and manufacturing methods.
