About the role

This is a newly created profession that didn't exist just a few years ago. We call it a Legal Engineer- a role at the crossroads of law and engineering. New roles emerge in every new era. Be there when it happens - this time in the age of AI

We are seeking PhD students or recent Law/Legal Studies graduates specializing in EU or US Law to join an innovative company involving the evaluation of Large Language Model (LLM) outputs.

Your main goal will be to improve the accuracy and reliability of AI systems in interpreting and applying EU/US legal texts.

This role is suitable for a fresh university graduate, a PhD student, or a junior legal associate.

In this role you will

• Cooperate with AI and legal tech researchers and professionals

• Work closely with the AI engineering team to deliver the best results.

• Work with our senior lawyers and compliance officers to onboard new regulations to the system.

• Have the opportunity to learn how to tune Large Language Models (LLMs) and improve your Python skills (if interested).
  

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field; PhD student; additional compliance certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) are a plus.

• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and writing skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Fluency in English.

• Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
