Senior Apache Flink Developer at BairesDev

We are seeking a Senior Apache Flink Developer to lead the development of complex streaming applications and optimizations. You'll enhance Flink performance, implement fault-tolerant pipelines, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to core Flink features.

What You'll Do:

  • Contribute actively to Apache Flink and related open source projects as a core contributor.
  • Develop and optimize stateful streaming and batch applications using Flink APIs.
  • Implement advanced connectors and integrations with Kafka, Hive, Iceberg, and other data systems.
  • Drive performance tuning for low-latency, high-throughput streaming pipelines.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in stream processing.

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development.
  • Strong expertise in distributed systems and real-time stream processing.
  • Deep understanding of Apache Flink architecture, including state management, checkpointing, event-time processing, and exactly-once semantics.
  • Proficiency in Java (primary), Scala, and Python (PyFlink) for ecosystem integrations.
  • Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization of streaming pipelines.
  • Core contributions to Apache open source projects (Flink, Kafka, Spark, Hive, or similar).
  • Advanced level of English.
