The position is suitable for both women and men.

The research activities will focus on the field of circular economy, environmental sustainability and intelligent resource management, with a particular emphasis on applied research within the CirkArena project, aiming to develop innovative solutions that support the transition from linear to circular and long-term sustainable systems.

Required expertise:

  • Operations research
  • Industrial systems management
  • Expertise in data analysis and statistical modeling

We expect expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Circular economy (theory, models, implementation)
  • Life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon and environmental footprint
  • Material flow analysis (MFA)
  • Product passports and digital infrastructures for circularity
  • Circular audits, ESG reporting, environmental economics
  • Ecodesign and sustainable business models
  • Interdisciplinary approaches connecting technology, economy, and societal impacts
  • Preparation of high-quality technical reports and presentations to disseminate research findings internally and externally
  • Preparation and submission of articles to high-impact journals
  • Preparation of international projects

Full time equivalent: 1.0

Type of job contract: fixed-term employment contract with the possibility of extension

  • Ph.D. in economics, management, industrial systems management or a related field.
  • High-level proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
