Join our team as a Junior AP/AR Accountant in Prague

Purpose of the role:

You will play an important role in performing accurate accounting duties related to both AP and AR transactions. This part-time / DPP position is designed to support AP and AR operations effectively, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial processes.

This role involves the daily use of SAP and other finance systems for processing invoices, expenses, billings, debit and credit notes, and for maintaining accurate records of post receivables entries.

Responsibilities:

Invoice & Payment Processing: Accurately verify, process, and code vendor invoices in line with company policies and tax guidelines. Ensure timely and correct payments, including manual payments and advance/early payments in SAP.

Query Management: Assist with payment runs, create manual bank transfers, and handle early payments in SAP. Submit invoices for reverse factoring and help generate customer invoices based on approved orders.

Master Data: Manage Vendor and Customer Master Data in SAP, ensuring all internal financial controls over Vendor and Customer Master Data are executed and documented - create/maintain vendors and customers in SAP.

Support Audits & Continuous Improvement: Provide documentation for internal/external audits and actively contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing errors in accounts payable and receivable.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or vocational qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience with understanding of AP and AR processes.
• Fluency in English. Knowledge of Italian is a plus and highly preferred.
• Excel skills are required
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong willingness to learn and take initiative

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of finance systems like SAP, Blackline, and Concur is a big advantage.

ABS is also responsible to adhere to multi-jurisdiction financial regulations and reporting requirements, including ensuring compliance with these regulations and ensure accurate and timely reporting to relevant authorities.
