We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead our data science team and help drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. Data scientists at Vendavo are primarily focused on developing ML Algorithms that are embedded into Vendavo products.   As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in data science to drive innovative solutions for cutting edge problems within the pricing domain. You will work closely with Cross-functional teams and existing Vendavo Customers to drive analysis of large datasets, research, and development of machine learning models.   THE OPPORTUNITY
  • Participate in the development and implementation of innovative data science solutions that directly impact Vendavo's product offerings and strategic decisions. This includes building advanced predictive models, optimization algorithms, GenAI and driving AI/ML adoption.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams.
  • Utilize the latest tools and techniques in data science, machine learning, and GenAI. This role offers the opportunity to stay on the cutting edge of technology and data advancements, including cloud-based platforms, big data processing, and AI-driven automation.
  • Helping to define the data science vision, strategy, and roadmap for the organization. This involves identifying high-impact opportunities where data science can add value across the business, from pricing strategies to customer analytics
THE SKILLSET
  • 5+ years experience in a B2B or B2C SaaS in data scientist
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for data manipulation, modeling, and visualization.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, predictive modeling techniques, and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, ensemble methods).
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong self-organizational skills to manage participation in multiple data science initiatives.
  • Experience with LLM-based applications in Python, including the development of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and with cloud platforms (preferably AWS and AWS SageMaker), for data storage, processing, and machine learning deployment is highly beneficial
