We are looking for a talented Software Development Team leader to join our identiGEN R&D team. This is a unique opportunity to help us shape the future of animal DNA traceability by using cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities:
Guide a team of software developers and QA, overseeing the design, coding, verification, testing, documentation, modification, and refactoring of complex programs, scripts, and integration software services
Lead the design of software applications and components, ensuring alignment with project goals and strategic objectives
Develop and contribute to solution architecture across business, infrastructure, and functional areas, promoting scalability and maintainability
Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing by engaging with cross-functional teams and leaders across the organization
Build strong communities of practice to break down silos, align on shared goals, and drive cohesion in designing and implementing larger software systems
Provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle, conducting design and code reviews, offering hands-on support when needed, and ensuring adherence to modern design methodologies and architectural principles
Drive the adoption and implementation of DevOps practices to optimize scalability, performance, and delivery efficiency
Serve as the technical expert, supporting the configuration of system components and equipment for effective systems testing, and ensuring thorough validation of functionalities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements, define project scope, and create project plans
Support the establishment of effective environments and processes for lifecycle management
Contribute to the development of solution architectures within specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas to ensure that strategic objectives are met
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of leading a team of at least 4-6 software developers and QA
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in full-stack development, quality assurance, systems integration, and IT infrastructure
A graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proven hands-on experience in software development, including designing, coding, and delivering high-quality solutions
Professional coding experience in .NET and cloud development using Azure and AWS environments
Professional coding experience in databases and SQL
Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams, showcasing strong management and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
A passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in software engineering practices
Demonstrated experience in releasing software applications to end customers with several release cycles
Ability to collaborate with global virtual teams and navigate multiple cross-functional teams
Good comprehension of agile development methodologies
