Trainee Junior VAT Specialist – Join Our European Tax Team

Are you eager to launch your career in tax and gain hands-on experience in a truly international environment? We're looking for a motivated Trainee Junior VAT Specialist to join our Indirect Tax (VAT) team. This is a part-time role for 2 days per week, fixed term of 6 months – perfect for a student or recent graduate looking to combine studies with valuable experience.

What you'll do

  • Prepare and validate data for VAT returns, Intrastat, and other VAT-related reports
  • Support timely processing of VAT payments and refunds
  • Conduct VAT account reconciliations and work with transactional data
  • Assist during indirect tax audits and collaboration with tax authorities and external advisors
  • Take part in automation and digitalization projects (e-reporting, e-invoicing, SAF-T)
  • Work closely with AP/AR and Customer Service teams to resolve invoicing errors impacting VAT
  • Stay updated on legislation changes and support updates in IT systems (SAP and satellite systems)

What we're looking for

  • A student or recent graduate with strong interest in tax (VAT focus is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; SAP experience is an advantage
  • A reliable, detail-oriented, and well-organized team player
  • Fluent English (any additional language is a strong plus)
