Garrett did develop Modular Test Rig machine – endurance test bench, which could run durability on bearings for electric powertrain drive system. As work package 2 for this rig is to extend the scope about adding active control and data acquisition unit. The project scope is containing proposal and design of additional modules to MTR in following aspects:
- Microcontroller unit based on LabView or MATLAB code
- Thermocouples measurement ability
- Speed controlling of electric drive real time
- Bearing revolutions measurement sensor
- Electric drive power draw measurement
- Heating system control
DESIRABLE BACKGROUND
- Student in last year (of Masters) of electrical or mechatronic engineering
- Hands of experience in the areas of sensing and control engineering needed
- Experience with Office Suite
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English (At least technical English level)
- Duration: minimum 6 months
