Test Technician

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the tests are technically prepared and executed per expectations of Test Lab customers, Test Instructions and Lab Instructions in order to achieve best possible quality of the tests results.
• Ensure correct tracking of downtimes, required WRS actions (notes and updates) and other work activities that are valid in given time.
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement culture through Kaizen process on day-to-day basis.
• Ensure compliance with GEM standards in assigned areas and Test Cells (Tier mtgs., 5S, Visual Management, Autonomous Maintenance, Nearmiss etc.)
• Ensure respecting of all internal Rules and Policies valid for shipment, warehousing and material flow.
• Follow up on outcomes from analysis of Customer Satisfaction feedback. In case of non conformities cooperate on definition of appropriate corrective actions in Root Cause Analysis / 8D. This is valid also in case of HSE accidents, incidents and findings.
• Ensure appropriate care of the test equipment and tools provided for work. Ensure reporting of any deviation or finding related to functionality, calibration or maintenance of the assigned equipment.
• Actively participate on technical upgrade and improvement of test equipment including its construction.
• Ensure that training and education actions are properly followed.
• Ensure that autonomous maintenance rules and activities in related areas are performed on regular basis, timely and in best possible quality. Report and solve non conformities identified during the autonomous maintenance activities.
• Ensure that the installed equipment will be appropriately used per requirements defined by its manufacturer or Garrett Procedures and Policies, required records will be taken and any issues and failures will be reported to Primary Manager and/or Maintenance Engineer.

Qualifications:

• Technical education
• Practical experience with testing in automotive is advantage
• Very good manual and technical skills for mechanical activities
• User knowledge of measurement devices and sensors applicable to testing on Gas Stands / Shakers
• User knowledge of mechanical, control and sensor system of Gas Stands or Shakers
• Knowledge of turbocharger functionality and practical experience with testing
• Ability to solve problems quickly and deliver results
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent customer service focus
• Excellent Continuous Improvement mindset
• Understanding of GEM tools
• Communicative knowledge of English
