Medior Network Engineer

NN Digital Hub is hiring a Medior Network Engineer in Prague who will take care of the functionality of our network day by day.
Who you will join
You will be a part of a mid-sized colleagues) network team based in Prague but working in a hybrid way (at least one day per week in the office in Prague). You will be responsible for continuously monitoring the status of the network and intervening if a problem occurs. You will also proactively search for potential future problems and solve them to ensure the stability and continuity of our network. Additionally, you will perform changes to the network at the request of all our business units.
What are the tasks you will perform
- Troubleshooting and solving network issues.
- Taking operational responsibility for the network infrastructure, including processing and managing operational tasks like DNS requests or standard changes.
- Actively monitoring the health and performance of the network environment.
- Executing changes to the network environment on different components like firewalls, proxies, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Identifying improvement opportunities.
- Improving or expanding on the existing automated processes.
What we expect from you
- A completed Master's degree.
- Understanding automation (Ansible), scripting (Python, Go), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco switching and routing technology.
- In-depth knowledge of Check Point.
- Experience managing SD-WAN, Office LAN, or Datacenter Networks.
- Experience with managing load balancers, proxies, and firewalls.
- Strong communication skills in English.

How we hire
After reviewing your application, including your CV in English, you will receive a short phone call from Petra (Talent Acquisition Partner) to discuss basic details about your previous work experience and the open position. One of the rounds will be an open discussion with Petra and Pavel (Engineering Manager), focusing on your knowledge, expectations, and all relevant details about the role. The second one will be more technical, and we will invite one or two members of our current team.
