Buyer

Job Responsibilities

• Operative Logistics Procurement
• Maintenance of logistics rates and logistics routes
• Checking invoices and surcharges from freight forwarders and logistics service providers
• Coordinating with requisitioners and shipping as well as Strategic Logistics Procurement
• Obtaining offers, evaluating offers and awarding contracts, approval workflow, with defined value limits
• Negotiations with suppliers with defined value limits
• Creation of orders and contracts as well as their entry and administration in SAP
• Purchase orders, order tracking, change management, invoice verification
  Operational tasks regarding supplier management

Job Requirements

• Completed commercial training
• Experience in the Logistics environment needed, e.g. through working in a freight forwarding company
• Broad knowledge of systems and processes, especially SAP purchasing systems and Ariba, knowledge of the functionality
• Business English fluently (verbal and contract texts)
• Basic knowledge Business German
• Experience and skills in negotiation management an advantage or ability to learn quickly
• Good comprehension and understanding of economic relationships, motivation and perseverance, ability to reach an attractive conclusion
• Good basic communication skills: ability to present and communicate facts to suppliers and internal WACKER stakeholders
• Concentrated, fast, and precise work
  High accuracy and reliability
