Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.Job Description Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Quality Engineering team (8 subordinates), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing and quality processes to ensure a proactive approach to issue resolution and prevention.

  • Oversee the validation of first samples (FAI) for components and assemblies in cases of new items, process changes, and design modifications.

  • Ensure robust quality monitoring during production, including internal audits and adherence to aerospace standards.

  • Ensure that products and services perform according to quality standards and that manufacturing processes are capable and qualified.

  • Lead efforts to resolve non-conforming parts, manage exception/deviation requests, and oversee repair/rework processes.

  • Drive root cause analysis, monitor corrective action implementation, and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions.

  • Act as the primary liaison with R&D and other quality departments (incoming, outgoing, technical, and supplier quality).

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the Quality Management System and foster a culture of prevention.

  • Provide comprehensive reporting on quality metrics, team performance, and improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience); advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within quality engineering, preferably in aerospace or a related industry. Experience in aviation is a significant advantage, but we are open to candidates from other fields of expertise, as specific processes can be trained.

  • Knowledge of risk prevention and familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies, including 5 Why.

  • Proficiency in technical drawings and analytical problem-solving.

  • Excellent communication skills in Czech and English (written and spoken).

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, foster collaboration, and drive results.

  • Strategic mindset with a focus on process improvement and proactive problem-solving.

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with aerospace standards such as EASA Part 21 or 145.

  • Advanced knowledge of APQP methodologies.
