Sustainability Procurement Associate/Specialist

SAP is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sustainability Procurement Associate/Specialist to join our procurement team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and growth in the field of sustainability procurement.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement a sustainability strategy for procurement, aligning with the company's overall sustainability goals and objectives.
  • Conduct research on sustainable procurement practices and assist in maintaining and updating sustainability-related data and documentation.
  • Evaluate and assess supplier sustainability performance and support supplier sustainability assessments and audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability criteria into procurement processes and supplier selection criteria.
  • Support supplier engagement activities, including meetings, workshops, and training, to communicate sustainability expectations and foster partnerships.
  • Assist in the preparation of sustainability reports, presentations, and communications to share progress and achievements.
  • Support efficiencies and optimization of procurement activities within the GPO Real Estate & Facilities team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sustainability, Real Estate Management, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement or a related field. Internship or coursework experience in sustainability procurement is a plus.
  • Passion for sustainability and a genuine interest in driving positive environmental and social impact through responsible procurement practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

About the Team

The Real Estate & Facilities Category Team is part of the Global Procurement Organization and provides excellent business partnering to our internal and external stakeholders. The category is responsible for the definition and execution of global sourcing strategies in close collaboration with business owners, corporate legal, finance and controlling, as well as for sourcing and supplier management across the globe.
