Remote Oslo, Czech Republic Plot.ai Full time

We are looking for a candidate with deep experience in building server and data processing applications, demonstrated across multiple sizable projects.

While 6+ years in the field is common for candidates at this level, we place more emphasis on your ability to demonstrate relevant skills.

 

 

Fundamentals you need to know:
  • Deep understanding of software design patterns
  • Good understanding of networking and HTTP protocol
  • Good understanding of Linux architecture and containerization

 

Your skills:
  • Ability to leverage DDD to develop solutions adhering to SOLID principles
  • Ability to select and apply appropriate data patterns tailored to the specific needs of data ingestion, data storage, and data serving.
  • Ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable APIs that adhere to REST principles
  • Ability to independently solve advanced engineering challenges and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to strategically manage technical debt – knowing when to incur it to achieve short-term goals and how to effectively address it when necessary to maintain long-term system health

 

Technology you need to know:
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Proficiency in SQL (preferably PostgreSQL)
  • Fluency in Django
  • Familiarity with common Python data processing tooling such as NumPy or Pandas
  • Familiarity with Airflow or similar workflow-oriented platform

 

Good to have, but not a requirement:
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with PostGIS or other GIS technologies
  • Familiarity with Stripe or other payment solutions

About the position

This is a full-time position. Plot.ai is co-located with Marketer, and together we take great pride in our fun and inclusive culture, and we have several social activities a month such as morning swims along the pier at Tjuvholmen, game nights, and fun work-out sessions after work. If you work remotely, we will fly you to Oslo a couple of times a year to meet the rest of the team.
