About the Role

The Statutory Reporting Accountant Benelux plays a pivotal role in assisting the Chief Accountant to direct and control all financial accounting processes for entities in scope, ensuring compliance with relevant policies & procedures, US GAAP, statutory and fiscal requirements.

This position requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in financial reporting, able to analyze and reconcile General Ledger accounts and cost centers, including payroll accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing yearly statutory annual accounts for entities in scope and aligning with external auditors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of tax return and support Tax department with related Corporate Income Tax calculation
  • Preparation/Assisting of work council reports
  • Quarterly assistance in implementing and maintaining internal controls for key accounting processes
  • Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
  • Month-end closing for responsible entities, including activities like revaluation & analyzing exchange differences
  • Preparation and execution of the monthly reporting activities
  • Analyzing, reconciling, and controlling GL accounts and cost centers, including Payroll accounting
  • Ad hoc issue solving and projects
  • Preparation of SOX control activities and statistical reporting
Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Dutch language
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience (GL or RtR) ideally in an international environment
  • Experience in preparing annual financial statements is ideal; partial experience is acceptable
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferably master
  • Strong communication skills to interact with people at different locations and on different levels in the organization
