High-Performing Team Lead for Software Engineers

We're seeking an exceptional leader to guide and develop a talented group of software engineers at Marshmallow.
About the RoleThis is a high-performing team lead position that requires a strong development background, leadership experience, and technical expertise in backend systems design and architecture. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, and operational excellence of our product in your domain.
- Lead and Mentor a High-Performing Team: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement among your team members. Guide them in their professional growth and development, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Oversee the development and implementation of best practices in coding, testing, design, and architecture. Ensure that your team adheres to industry standards and continuously improves their technical skills.
- Promote a Strong Engineering Culture: Identify, propose, prioritize, and implement engineering initiatives to ensure the long-term maintainability, stability, and scalability of our systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Product Managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize initiatives. Ensure effective communication across departments and alignment with business goals.
- Own Delivery: Work with your team and Product Managers to scope new features, prioritize them on your roadmap, and drive their delivery. Stay on top of your team's work, coordinate effectively with stakeholders, make necessary tradeoffs, and adjust your scope and plans as needed.
Requirements: Leadership experience, strong development background, backend system design and architecture, project management, people management.
