Backend Software Engineer

A seasoned Backend Software Engineer with extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend solutions is sought after to excel in this role.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Java and Spring Boot, as well as hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform. Additionally, proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases, along with practical knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, will be essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and optimize microservices architecture with a focus on performance, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Take full ownership of implemented features – from planning and development to deployment and support.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Frontend Developers, DevOps, and QA.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
  • Ensure application performance, monitoring, and observability using tools such as DataDog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases to support application data needs.
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application reliability and robustness.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and deliver effective technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with Java (5-7 years)
  • Expert knowledge of Spring Boot
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform
  • Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Practical knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
  • Advanced proficiency with Git
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development
