API Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled API Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend applications in Java or Node.js.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in backend development with Java or Node.js and proven expertise with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API design, implementation, deployment).

  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs, backend services, and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint.
  • Build scalable and secure backend applications in Java or Node.js.
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience in backend development with Java or Node.js.
  • Proven expertise with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API design, implementation, deployment).
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, ECS, RDS).
  • Solid understanding of API design principles (REST, SOAP, microservices).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Skills

A bonus will be given for:

  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing).
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to other integration platforms or middleware solutions.
Nice to Have

Experience with Vue.js, Git, CI/CD Pipelines, Automated testing is also a plus. Sport subscription and Private healthcare as an added benefit.
