Senior Civil Engineer for Underground Concrete Infrastructure

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in designing underground concrete structures for transmission lines and substations. With a strong background in civil engineering and expertise in underground foundations, the ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree from an accredited university and at least five years of experience in this field.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in both Polish and English languages. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, are essential for this role.
This position requires a deep understanding of relevant concrete foundations-related codes and the ability to design construction-level generic types of foundations considering various soil types. The candidate should be able to select foundation types based on geotechnical investigation data and reports, interpret soil characteristics, and ensure compliance with relevant codes.
Responsibilities- Design underground foundations, including pad and chimney, mono-piles, multi-piles, precast concrete, and anchor in rock, for transmission towers and substation equipment.
- Calculate all relevant reactions related to transmission towers or substation structures and gather necessary data for foundation design.
- Design setting cards for foundations.
- Interpret soil characteristics including bearing capacity, uplifts, frustum angle requirements, SPT values, and laboratory test results.
- Design protection measures against erosion and scouring-related aspects, such as watertight foundations and drainage channels.
- Produce specifications for concrete, steel rebars, and foundation execution requirements.
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
- Minimum of five years of experience in designing underground concrete structures for transmission lines and substations.
- Proficiency in both Polish and English languages for effective communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant concrete foundations-related codes.
