Accounting Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Accountant to oversee the quality of accounting within our organization. This includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, analyzing complex accounting situations, and maintaining and reconciling the general ledger.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Support and review journal entries prepared by other accountants
  • Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
  • Analyze unusual or complex accounting situations and propose appropriate treatments
  • Prepare financial data for SAP postings related to mergers and acquisitions
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and Treasury
  • Review internal controls and accounts reconciliation and support audit activities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and standardization across GL, AP, and AR teams
  • Manage accounting transactions in SAP, including fixed assets and intercompany reconciliations
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in an international environment
  • Strong accounting knowledge, including IFRS
  • Proven experience in financial statement preparation and leadership roles
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex accounting issues
  • Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO) and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Relevant academic or educational background
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA is highly desirable
