REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in an international or multi-regional environment.
  • Strong accounting knowledge, including German GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Proven experience in financial statement preparation and month-/year-end closing leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English.
  • Relevant academic or educational background.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is highly desirable.

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our client's Regional Shared Service Center in Katowice as a Chief Accountant. This role is ideal for a Senior Accountant with over 7 years of experience and relevant qualifications such as ACCA. You will oversee the quality of accounting within the General Ledger, support and review team members, and resolve complex accounting issues, including preparing data for SAP during mergers and acquisitions. The position is based on well-established processes and fosters collaboration across international teams.
