CMDB Process Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of CMDB Process Specialist within our Service Management team. As a CMDB Process Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the process and governance activities of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within ServiceNow.

  • Stakeholder management skills are essential, as you will need to communicate complex scenarios to multiple levels of stakeholders and management.
  • You will manage workloads, taking ownership of tasks assigned with minimal supervision, and be a strong decision maker and proactive self-starter.
  • Your passion for improving the customer experience by reviewing, designing, and where required, re-engineering processes is crucial.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools is beneficial, as is understanding of Configuration Management and the Common Service Data Model.
  • Proficiency in English is a must, as you will need to communicate on a business level with everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ongoing review and refinement of CMDB processes and policies to support alignment to the agreed data models and CSDM strategy.
  • Enforcement of data quality standards in support of CMDB health metrics.
  • Management of CI Classes, including implementation of CI Policies to enforce data completeness and correctness.
  • An understanding of how to evolve CMDB using the Common Service Data Model to support strategic needs.
  • Engaging with strategic projects to ensure CMDB can deliver the required functionality within agreed timeframes.
  • Providing training and mentoring around CMDB when required.
