Job Description

In this role as Application Manager (Mainframe), you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mainframe applications and systems. This includes understanding complex applications, data flows, and their business purpose to integrate new modules, changes, or releases into our IT landscape.

As a key member of an international team of IT experts, you will develop, maintain, and operate new applications and services within the securities management processes. Your primary goal is to ensure a frictionless assembly, Q/A, processing, and transport of deployment packages from development to production environments.

You will also be responsible for maintaining stable operation of production, handling incidents, problems, and changes, and communicating with developers and other operation teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing operation in production
  • Implementing changes in accordance with requirements
  • Ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLA) are adhered to

Responsibilities

• Controlling and monitoring central and decentralized Mainframe applications IMS online systems and batch production

• Analyzing, resolving, and documenting IT faults

• Implementing changes in the production process as per change request

• Ensuring uninterrupted availability of systems and applications

• Manual intervention in automatic processes in conjunction with product managers or on request

• Handling changes/incidents/problems with ticketing systems HPeSM

• Conceptual tasks around technical solutions, data- and business-/process models

• Supporting rollouts in production

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Excellent knowledge of Mainframe Operating System: z/OS
  • Good knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language)
  • Good knowledge of SQL, relational databases (IBM DB2, Oracle)
  • Good knowledge of OPC Operation Planning and Control/TWS Tivoli Workload Scheduler
  • Willingness to learn
  • English language skills at a B2/C1/C2 level
