Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect-Mining to join our team. As a key member of our digital transformation initiative, you will play a crucial role in adapting and integrating digital technologies into our mining operations.
Your Responsibilities
Identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities in our mining operations and translate business goals into a digital transformation strategy.
Evaluate technologies such as IoT, cloud solutions, big data platforms, automation systems, and data analytics tools to support digitalization.
Lead the initial scoping of technical requirements, ensuring alignment with both current and future business needs.
Drive 'buy vs. build' decisions for digital tools while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards for smooth implementation.
Work closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of digital mining initiatives.
Stay abreast of industry advancements in smart industrial technologies and emerging trends in automation, software development, cloud platforms, and data science.
Requirements
IoT expertise
Cloud computing experience (MS Azure or similar)
Big data technologies and data analytics platforms proficiency
Software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies knowledge
Strong understanding of mining operations, equipment, and supply chain processes
Proven experience in leading or contributing to digital transformation initiatives in industrial or mining settings
Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable digital strategies
Ability and experience in spreading industrial education / technology among the entire class of people (from top management to manual workers)
Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multi-stakeholder projects
Willingness to work onsite 50% of the time on a monthly basis, with an initial four-week period fully onsite in our Katowice location to facilitate integration and team collaboration
