Backend Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable, high-performance systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop backend APIs, data streaming services, and analytical pipelines using cloud and distributed computing technologies.
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and architecture to deployment and support.
  • Collaborate with end-users and internal teams to refine requirements, share best practices, and provide hands-on support.
  • Build robust monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for the platform.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and on-call rotations in a global, collaborative engineering team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Software Development Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Programming Languages: Strong expertise in Python or Golang.
  • Distributed Systems: Experience with APIs (REST/RPC), real-time streaming (Kafka, Flink, etc.), and analytical databases.
  • Database Management: Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases (time-series DBs a plus).
  • CI/CD and Cloud: Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerization (Docker; Kubernetes a plus). Cloud experience (AWS preferred).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn complex systems.
