Senior Manual QA Engineer Job Description

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software products.

  • We are looking for a seasoned manual QA engineer with 6+ years of experience in manual software testing.
  • You will have a strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Your experience in functional, regression, and exploratory testing for web and mobile applications is essential.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar is required.
  • You should be able to write clear and concise test cases and defect reports.
  • A knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools is a plus.
  • You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and enhance product quality.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken (B2+) is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute manual test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
  • Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and smoke testing to ensure software stability.
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards for software testing.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with JIRA, TestRail, or similar bug tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • ISTQB certification.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Node.js, C#.
  • Experience with database queries (SQL & NoSQL).
