You will lead a team of IT professionals in delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our technical teams deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that doesn't compromise production stability and we ensure applicative production support.

About the Role

As a technical lead for GBS Poland, you will contribute to the definition and review of the technical architecture and design of the IT solutions required to deliver the EUI Strategy, leveraging your expertise in modern technologies like event driven architecture and Java.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set-up a new team of IT professionals and manage it.
  • Contribute to the definition and review of the technical architecture and design of the IT solutions required to deliver the EUI Strategy.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching and mentoring to your team members.
  • Ensure the quality, performance, security and scalability of the IT solutions, following the best practices, standards and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the IT programme manager, the business analysts, the architects and the other development teams to ensure the alignment and integration of the IT solutions.
  • Support the delivery planning, estimation, prioritisation and reporting of your team's activities.
  • Identify and manage the technical risks, issues and dependencies related to your team's scope.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development processes and practices.

Requirements

  • Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong knowledge of Java development and frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, etc.), .net, event driven architecture and messaging technologies (Kafka, MQ, etc.), service oriented architecture and microservices, DevOps and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, etc.), cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, etc.), testing tools and frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, etc.) and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of financial concepts, database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, etc.), web development and frameworks (Angular, React, etc.) and business process modelling and automation (Camunda, etc.).
  • Strong technical leadership and organizational skills, strong interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills, effective and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and fix, or identify the internal resources to assist, excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, a willingness to learn and share knowledge, a result-oriented and can-do attitude and able to work against tight deadlines, and a passion for innovation and technology.
