  • Our ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of React, TypeScript, and REST APIs, as well as experience with Git, including understanding of branching and merging workflows.
  • Demonstrated delivery of web applications is essential, along with comfort working with asynchronous patterns and optimising code for performance and quality.
  • Experience with Jest, Cypress, and Pact for testing, as well as a working knowledge of Apollo (client and server), React Hooks, SASS/SCSS, and Webpack, is also required.
  • Good knowledge of Node.js and production-level GraphQL is necessary, as is design-minded attention to user interface implementation.
  • Message-driven architectures, Kafka, and event sourcing are also key skills we're looking for.

As a front-end engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features that meet our customers' needs.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Representing the product team in the scheduling of releases to customers, including preparing release notes
  • Working with QA teams to agree testing scenarios for new feature releases and support testing
  • Extracting and analysing data to understand feature performance and supporting product team backlog prioritisation
  • Supporting key third-party relationships to enhance overall value delivered to our customers
  • Supporting with incident coordination and triage of customer issues, ensuring actions are articulated and prioritised to appropriate backlogs
  • Reviewing, validating, and creating clear and concise product documentation
  • Supporting with product governance and wider risk assessment processes
  • Coordinating and completing regulatory conformance testing
  • Supporting and shadowing Product Owners and Product Managers, including participating in customer research and product discovery processes
