  • Familiarity with Fluent UI or Microsoft's design language. Interest in scientific computing, biomedical research tools, or life sciences workflows.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a visible project portfolio (e.g., GitHub).

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the development of a Microsoft Word Add-in for our AI-powered document review and authoring assistant. This assistant - currently built in React/Next.js - helps researchers generate, revise, and navigate scientific content more effectively by integrating large language models (LLMs) into their authoring workflows.

You will play a pivotal role in translating this browser-based side panel solution into a seamless Word Add-in, bringing intelligent, contextual assistance directly into the document creation process. This is an ideal role for a skilled front-end engineer with strong JavaScript fundamentals and an appreciation for user experience, looking to work at the intersection of productivity, design, and AI.

This 3-month contract role offers a unique opportunity to shape how researchers interact with intelligent systems while authoring and reviewing complex scientific documents.
