Senior Project Manager Position

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, with a focus on software development projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred);
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (mandatory);
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on software development projects;
  • Proven success in managing large-scale SaaS implementations;
  • Experience working with business analysis tasks, including requirements gathering and managing project scope;

This position involves leading the integration of equipment management and ship programming aspects to streamline the delivery process of science cruises.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and milestones;
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, weekly progress meetings, and stakeholder reviews;
  • Coordinate closely with technical teams, end-user training leads, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment;
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues;
  • Oversee adherence to quality standards, compliance requirements, and documentation;
  • Prepare detailed monthly status reports and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ensure seamless transition and integration from existing legacy systems to new solutions;
  • Manage project resources, and subcontractor engagements effectively;
  • Foster strong relationships with NOAA, subcontractors, and internal project teams;

Requirements:

PMP Certificate is mandatory. Additionally, international projects are desired.
