We are a team of experienced Network and Software Engineers at CodiLime, working on automated firewall configuration migration workflow and client side implementations.

Job Description

As a Senior Firewall Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services from start to finish. You will work closely with our Professional Services engineers on the customer side and collaborate with our Development team to improve our existing automation framework.

The Project

We are currently working on multiple projects that involve converting and migrating firewall configurations into customers' security platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze the customer's network environment and create a migration workflow for each use case. You will also work with the customer to deliver a working solution and ensure a successful deployment to their production environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent expertise in networks, network security, and network platforms
  • Hands-on experience with configuration and troubleshooting of Check Point firewalls
  • Proven track record in customer-facing roles
  • Hands-on scripting in Python
  • Experience with production-grade deployments
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • 7+ years of experience in Networks-related roles
  • Fluency in English (B2 level minimum)

Beyond the above criteria, we would appreciate:

  • Hands-on experience with other vendors: Cisco (ASA and Firepower), Palo Alto, Fortinet
  • Detailed multi-vendor firewall knowledge and configuration migration experience
  • Firewall vendor certification
  • Experience in deployment and/or maintenance of SASE/SSE solutions (e.g. Palo Alto, ZScaler)
  • Understanding of DevOps tools and practices
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible, Docker, VMWare
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of best practices in enterprise network security
